Does anyone know any good places to advertise this site. The more visitors we get the more hints and tips I can pass on to you.

These excellent tips came from Jenny
For blondes out there who,s hair turns greenish after swimming in a pool, apply 2 tbs of baking soda and a quarter of a cup of water to make a type of watery paste, Let it sit for about 10 minutes then rinse out. To prevent it next time wet your hair before entering swimming pool.
To give hair a cute and curly look, apply hair gel to damp or wet hair and scrunch with fingers until dry. This look is great for the women on the go because it is so quick to achieve.
For teeth....Apply a small amount of baking powder on your brush and clean with this or make a paste with baking powder and water, this should really brighten teeth.
Thank you very much Jenny for the excellent tips.

These tips arrived from Lynn in the USA
Hoof Maker.....Available from pet stores is excellent for hands and cuticles.
Bag Balm.....Great for chapped lips also available from pet stores.
Body Butter.....Available from the Body Shop is great after a shower it leaves skin very soft and also leaves a nice sheen on the skin.
Scrubs.....Sugar mixed with olive oil makes a good scrub and so does sea salt mixed with either water or oil.
Face Mask.....Milk of magnesia is excellent for oily skins.apply to your face with cotton wool, let dry then rinse.
Thank you very much Lynn for your tips they are excellent and I will try the Bag Balm....Very interesting

This question arrived from Lynn.
Q...How often do you update the site.
A....I try to update twice a week but please bare with me sometimes with work, a home to run and two children I am sometimes a bit pushed for time ,but I will do my best to update twice a week...Wendy

Q.....I do not have the smoothest skin and would like to know how I can apply foundation that will cover yet look very natural without expense.
A.....Make sure your foundation is as close to your skin tone as possible, in the shop try the foundation on your cheek this is normally the darkest or reddest area.Once you are happy with the shade moisturise very lightly unless your skin is extremely dry in which case more moisturiser will be needed then apply foundation using your fingers, a thin veil of foundation then apply a second very thin coat just over areas that need extra cover(not every where will need two coats).Next using a pressed powder very lightly dab all over face.I have found a very good foundation called Oil Control from the Body Shop but most inexpensive foundations will work well if applied as above.

Q.....How can I get rid of dark circles under my eyes?
A.....Dark circles are a result of either lack of sleep, lack of fresh air and excersise and in some dark skinned people this is very common also. You can try slicing an apple and applying a slice to each eye and relax for five or ten minutes this may help. There are also many products on the market that claim to rid you of dark circles but I cannot recommend any as I have not been over impressed with them, but if anybody knows of any good ones please let me know and I will pass on the information and print the suggestions.Very rarely dark circles can be a result of a internal disorder such as anaemis or even depression so check with your doctor if the condition persists or is particularly bad.

Thank you to Emma with the wonderful email address for your comments on the guestbook. You will be a star one day.

Thank you very much to Elle who emailed me these great tips,Elle say,s ......I have a tip for those who use compact foundations, where you have to add water to your sponge I use Evian mist spray or you can use a small spray bottle with water added, then spray your sponge with this rather than dipping it in the sink.Less Mess......If you want to achieve full lips try "Lip Plump" by Benefit ! I swear by this because it fills in ridges in my lips and gives them a fuller look......To stop dark nail colours staining your nails apply clear gloss first and you will keep nice white nails this way .......Thankyou ELLE and also thankyou to TIFFANY who also sent this excellent nail tip

Thank you very much Shiva from Suriname for this comment.....I,ve been searching for a page about beauty tips you are the best Wendy..........Thanks again Shiva, can you please let me have your e mail address so I can get in touch.

Here are some excellent product recommendations from JUDY in Canada she writes.....To keep my nail polish in place longer and also have the shinest nails I use Sally Hansen"No Chip" topcoat.I try and put a coat on every night or every other night.I have been using "Burts Bee's Coconut Foot Creme".If you put this on your feet at night and go to bed in cotton socks the next day you will see a tremendous difference.I have long dark hair and try to keep it as healthy as possible. One of the products I have found to keep it healthy and shiny is a line called "Paul Brown Hawaii". I am also very careful when combing my hair. I never use a brush only a big tooth comb and comb from the bottom upwards and never comb very wet hair . Its a good idea to let it dry a little first before combing .Sometimes if I,m in a rush I take out excess moisture with tissue. As far as makeup is concerned I use Mac Products I love their tinted moisturiser. Also their mascara is the only one I,ve used that doe,snt clump......Thank you very much Judy for your comments.

Thanks to Annie from Sheffield for sending her comments and product reccomendations, she says.
Love the site its really good and your tips are great. My favorite products are from Lush.I have really dry skin and Lush "More Than Mortal" freshly handmade body scrub followed by Lime Smoothy soap in a tub does miracles for my skin.I would recommend them to anybody. Also their bath ballistics are excellent they smell fantastic and leave your skin really soft as they contain essential oils.My favorites are "Fern Shui"and "Green Man".As for Annies makeup recommendations they are as follows.
Revlon Top-Speed quick drying nail polish. The finish is great but it is incredibly hard to remove even with a good polish remover.....collection 2000 although cheap have some great stuff.I use their waterproof mascara-its only about £2 and is excellent. Also they have really great colours in polish......Barry m is a really cheap brand also and they have some eyeshadows in glimmerpots its really good mega sparkly eyeshadow this can be found in Superdrug.

Thanks very much to Christine from Rotherham who would not be without Liz Earles Spot, she says it is excellent for cold sores, acne spots and rashes etc.

Thank you very much to Cathy Trotter who recommends oil of clove for toothache,it numbs the entire area so you have time to get to the dentist without being in excruciating pain and its all very natural.

To answer Amanadas problem with foundation vanishing by lunchtime.
Firstly vanishing makeup can be the result of either very dry or very oily skin.Dry skin is so thirsty for moisture that it soaks up cosmetics.Make sure you moisturise well before applying a creamy textured foundation.
If your skin is oily, firstly I would skip the moisturiser or if you must use it then apply moisturiser 15 minutes before makeup so it completely absorbs into the skin.Apply an oil free foundation and set with pressed powder (I use Corn Silk pressed powder and it is excellent). Personally I would consider changing my foundation an very good one to try is Rimmel 1000 Caresses.

To answer Cathys letter who has a problem with extemely dry hands...Soak hands in warm water for a few minutes and dry thourghly then apply a coat of petroleum jelly and massage well into the hands, tissue off any excess jelly after a couple of minutes.Repeat twice a day for best results. Also try a thick layer of hand cream then apply rubber gloves and wash the dishes in hot water, the heat from the water helps the cream soak in.

I enjoyed the site very much,my own personal tip is "blot your mascara wand before you apply, this will ensure a non-clumped look"It may seem like a waste but in the long run it isn't.
Thank you very much Daborah from Atlanta Georgia keep your excellent tips coming.

For brown eyes to really stand out lightly line with a baby blue eyeliner on the bottom.
To keep makeup going on smooth always apply moisturiser to face first also adding a few drops of moisturiser to your foundation works well also.
When straightening curly hair NEVER put dryer on hot always start with low heat as to avoid making hair frizzy looking.Thank you very much monica please let us have some more of your tips.
